Lemonade Syrup

Lemonade Syrup

Great to use on blueberry pancakes or strawberry waffles!

Combine water, sugar and Hip Syrups Lemonade Flavored Syrup in a saucepan.  Over medium heat, bring to a boil for 2 minutes.  Make sure all sugar is dissolved.

In a small bowl, separate egg yolks from the egg whites (we will not be using the whites in this recipe). Whisk yolks until smooth.

Whisk the sugar mixture and slowly drizzle the egg yolks into the sugar mixture whisking constantly.  

Add lemon zest and bring syrup back to a boil.

In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water - stir until smooth.  Slowly add this to the syrup and whisk until mixture comes back to a boil.  Boil for 1 minute.

Remove syrup from heat and enjoy!


  • 1 cup Hips Syrups Lemonade Flavored Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs (will only use yolks)
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp cprnstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
