Nutella Rugelach

Happy Hanukkah! This Jewish pastry recipe is made with All Natural Real Spices Vanilla Extract! Swap Nutella out with fruit preserves if you enjoy a more fruit flavored pastry. 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Combine dry ingredients in food processor and mix
  3. Combine chopped cream cheese and butter into flour mixture until crumbs form
  4. Add Real Spices Vanilla Extract and egg yolk into food processor and mix until dough clumps together
  5. Transfer dough onto large cutting board and divide into fourths, flatten each piece of dough into 1 inch disks and wrap in plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate dough for 2 hours
  7. Cover surface with powdered sugar, take out dough discs and let thaw slightly
  8. Unwrap discs and sprinkle more powdered sugar onto rolling pin and dough
  9. Roll dough out from the center into a circle, use more powdered sugar as needed to prevent dough from sticking
  10. Spread Nutella thinly over entirety of dough
  11. Cut dough into wedges
  12. Roll each wedge seam-side down so that the tip of the wedge is tucked under the roll
  13. Transfer each roll onto parchment paper lined baking sheet
  14. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown
  15. Let cool for 10 minutes and transfer to wire rack
